Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasised the budget's focus on enhancing urban infrastructure, improving road connectivity, and upgrading healthcare and educational facilities. Significant funds have been earmarked for the development of metro rail projects in various cities, including Lucknow, Kanpur, and Agra, to improve public transportation and reduce traffic congestion.
Additionally, the budget includes provisions for the construction and maintenance of roads and highways to ensure better connectivity across the state. Rural development is also a key priority, with allocations for the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and other schemes aimed at improving rural infrastructure.
Healthcare initiatives receive a substantial boost, with plans to upgrade district hospitals and establish new medical colleges to address the shortage of healthcare professionals and facilities. The education sector will benefit from funds allocated for the construction of new schools and the improvement of existing ones, aiming to enhance the quality of education in the state.
Furthermore, the budget supports various welfare schemes targeting marginalised communities, including financial aid for housing, skill development programs, and social security measures.
This supplementary budget reflects the government's commitment to accelerating the state's development and ensuring equitable growth for all its citizens. By prioritising infrastructure, healthcare, and education, Uttar Pradesh aims to create a robust foundation for sustained economic progress and improved quality of life.
