Dy CM Diya Kumari Approves Rs 1.50 bn for Rajasthan Rural Roads

The Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Public Works Department, Diya Kumari, has given the go-ahead for the development of around 408 kilometers of rural roads, with the total projected cost estimated at Rs 1.50 billion. She emphasised that enhancing the rural road network would significantly benefit the rural economy.

Kumari explained that better connectivity between villages and towns would provide farmers with improved opportunities to sell their products in larger markets, thereby securing better prices. Moreover, she noted that this improved infrastructure would facilitate greater access for villagers to government welfare services, including healthcare and education.

The projects that have been approved cover road construction across various assembly constituencies. In addition, Kumari highlighted that extra funds had been allocated for the preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs) for several key road upgrades.
