Himachal Pradesh development body approves construction of houses

The Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) approved significant developmental projects for the state during its 54th board meeting, which was chaired by Town and Country Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani. During the meeting, Dharmani highlighted HIMUDA's ongoing efforts to introduce new schemes across various sectors and urged officials to work diligently to ensure the effective implementation of these projects.

The board agreed on several new construction projects, including six 3-BHK deluxe flats in Housing Board Colony, Bilaspur, six 2-BHK flats in Sanjauli, Shimla, and two twin towers in Basal, Solan district, which will include a total of 24 3-BHK flats. Additionally, the board resolved to create a standard operating procedure (SOP) for acquiring new land and approved various other agendas presented during the meeting.

Dharmani directed HIMUDA officials to act promptly on the issues and plans discussed to ensure that the projects are expedited and completed within the stipulated timeframe. He emphasised the importance of adopting innovative ideas and encouraged the involvement of geologists, environmentalists, and landscaping consultants to enhance project outcomes.

The minister also stressed the need for HIMUDA to resolve land-related issues that are pending in court to enable the timely commencement and completion of projects. The board reviewed ongoing and proposed projects across the state, including those in Saraswati Nagar, Dehra, Subathu, Nerchowk, a zoo in Bankhandi, and the Command and Control Centre to be established in Dharamshala.
