Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme to be operational from Oct 1

The Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme 2024 is set to become operational from October 1. This scheme aims to resolve pending disputes related to direct taxes, providing a one-time opportunity for taxpayers to settle their issues without facing prolonged litigation.

Under the scheme, eligible taxpayers will be able to avail themselves of reduced penalties and interest rates, encouraging quicker resolutions. The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to simplify tax compliance and reduce the backlog of disputes in the tax system.

Officials emphasized that the scheme will enhance transparency and facilitate a smoother tax process for individuals and businesses alike.
