We are planning to expand our footprint internationally

We embarked on this journey in 2011, leveraging over seven decades of experience in manufacturing rugged, durable vehicles, utility vehicles (UVs), and tractors. With India's growing economy, it was a natural extension for us to enter the construction equipment sector. We brought the core values of the Mahindra Group to this business: a commitment to low limits, alternative thinking, and driving positive change. Since 2011, it's been a fantastic journey. Our manufacturing facility is located in Borgaon, Dapoli, Maharashtra, spanning 30 acres with a 10,000-sq-m area. This state-of-the-art Greenfield facility is fully automated, scalable, and quality-driven, making it one of the most modern manufacturing hubs in India. Our headquarters are based in Pune, where our sales and customer care offices are located, with our manufacturing plant nearby in Borgaon. Our expansive network includes 56 dealers, 105 service points, and 145 parts outlets, and it continues to grow to meet customer needs. Additionally, we've established a global presence, exporting to Brazil, the Middle East, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and several African nations.
What are some of the recent technologies embedded in your products?
Across all our products, we integrate iMac, Mahindra's advanced telematics platform, offering access to connected, smart operations. With iMac, users can monitor their machines' performance, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
What is your strategy for 2025?
As we approach 2025, we aim to expand our market share and volumes as the country’s economy grow. While 2024 is a transitional year with the shift from CV4 to CV5 standards, the market shares may fluctuate because some competitors might engage in pre-selling of CV4 units, or may have more stocks left. So it's not a good year to evaluate that, but over a period of one to three years, I am confident our growth story will be very strong. Over the next few years, we expect our competitive positioning to improve with the continued development of new products and customer-centric offerings. The road construction sector is poised for significant expansion, and we are excited to play a crucial role in it.
What are your recent initiatives for skill development?
We also emphasise the importance of training, offering both physical and virtual learning resources to help customers maximise machine performance. Our hybrid training model—combining in-person sessions with short video content—works effectively in today’s fast-paced, information-driven environment. Beyond business, Mahindra is dedicated to giving back to society. Our various initiatives, such as the 'Power for Nurturing Future Leaders’ programme, support business leaders of tomorrow. Additionally, our ongoing commitment to providing Rs 10,000 in education grants for the daughters of drivers reflects our core values of social responsibility.
What are some of the sustainability goals you have set?
Our long-term strategy focuses on sustainable growth, including achieving net-zero emissions by 2030 at one of our manufacturing sites. We are also committed to zero water usage, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility.
