Nitish Launches 76 Development Projects in Muzaffarpur
Kumar first reviewed the proposed high-level bridge over the Bagmati river, alongside the Garha (NH-57)-Hathauri-Atarar-Bawangama-Aurai road project in Muzaffarpur. The 21km road, including the 3.35km high-level bridge, will cost Rs 814 crore. He also examined the site for the widening of the Muzaffarpur-Barauni section of NH-122 (old NH-28).
The CM further inspected the proposed ring road near Dighra Rampur village in the east. The 4.45km stretch from Madhoul to Dighra and the 12.55km stretch from Dighra to Bakhri will connect Madhoul (new NH-22) to Bakhri (new NH-27). This ring road will provide smoother travel for vehicles coming from Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Motihari, and other regions, reducing congestion in Muzaffarpur’s urban area.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Road Construction Department, Mihir Kumar Singh, briefed the CM on the ongoing and proposed road and bridge projects in Muzaffarpur. Kumar urged the officials to expedite the construction of the proposed roads and bridges, ensuring their timely completion. "Once these roads and bridges are completed, commuting will become more efficient, saving time and reducing traffic congestion," he remarked. The CM also inaugurated the newly constructed 'Panchayat Sarkar Bhawan' at Binda village, Narouli gram panchayat in the Musahari block of Muzaffarpur district.
