Jharkhand to Allot 181 Flats via Online Lottery in February

Properties will be available under different categories, with the allotment based on a 90-year lease. Categories include Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Lower Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), and Higher Income Group (HIG), with varying sizes of houses and prices. For EWS, houses will have a super built-up area of 421 to 455 sq ft, while MIG properties will range from 1,000 to 1,200 sq ft, and HIG flats will start from 1,500 sq ft.
The application fees are structured according to income groups: Rs 1,000 (approx. $12) for EWS, Rs 2,000 (approx. $24) for LIG and MIG, and Rs 3,000 (approx. $36) for HIG. A 18% GST will also be charged on registration.
Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, such as not owning property within an 8 km radius of JSHB's area and providing supporting documents like income tax returns, self-declaration, and birth certificates.
The JSHB also plans to extend housing allotments to other districts in the near future and is working on providing plots for public allocation as well.
