Ather Energy Introduces Multi-Language Dashboard for Rizta E-Scooter

Ather Energy, the Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched a multi-language dashboard interface for its Rizta electric scooter, marking a first in the Indian market. This feature aims to enhance the user experience and expand accessibility to a broader audience by enabling riders to interact with their scooter’s dashboard in their preferred language.

The rollout will commence within three weeks, starting with Hindi. Additional languages, including Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, will follow in subsequent months. Ather Energy has expressed its willingness to incorporate more languages based on user demand.

The feature will be introduced through an over-the-air (OTA) update to AtherStack, the company’s proprietary software platform. AtherStack powers key functionalities such as safety features, smartphone integration, and connectivity across the brand’s scooters. Both existing and new Rizta Z owners will receive the update.

Currently, Ather is exploring regulatory requirements for this new language capability. While the Rizta is the initial focus, the company may extend this feature to its entire scooter range based on market feedback.

The initiative aligns with findings from a 2024 report by the Internet and Mobile Association of India and Kantar, which revealed that 98% of internet users in India access content in their native languages. Ather Energy's multi-language dashboard reflects its commitment to inclusivity and innovation in the electric vehicle sector.
