IGL Reports Rs 2.85 Billion Profit in Q3 FY25, Sales up 7%

Indraprastha Gas (IGL), India’s largest CNG distribution company, reported a 7 per cent increase in overall sales volume for the third quarter of FY25, ending December 2024. The company’s average daily sales grew from 8.48 million metric standard cubic meters per day (mmscmd) in Q3 FY24 to 9.11 mmscmd in Q3 FY25.

Sales of PNG saw a 12 per cent rise, while CNG sales grew by 6% compared to the same quarter last year. The total gross sales value for the quarter was Rs 41.30 billion, marking a 6 per cent increase from Rs 39.06 billion in Q3 FY24.

The company’s net profit for the quarter was Rs 2.85 billion, a decline from Rs 3.92 billion in the same period last year. These figures are standalone and exclude profits from associate companies.

IGL operates a city gas distribution network across 30 districts in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan, with over 20,000 km of pipeline infrastructure. The company serves more than 1.9 million vehicles through 890 CNG stations and has connected over 2.5 million households with PNG in these regions. News source: ET Energy
