FPT powers CASE equipment with F28 CEV stage V engine

The CASE Construction Equipment booth at the Bharat Construction Equipment Expo saw the unveiling of the new version of the F28 engine, designed to comply with the Bharat Stage CEV V emission standards for the Indian market which have recently been introduced.

The F28, designed to withstand the toughest working conditions, embodies durability and intelligence. This versatile engine provides a single solution that harmoniously balances space optimisation and exceptional performance, addressing the evolving needs of compact construction and industrial equipment. With a dynamic 2.8 l, four-cylinder configuration, the F28 generates robust peaking torque at 375 Nm at 1,400 rpm, ensuring the power required is available right when needed. Thanks to advanced engineering features – such as EGR channels integrated into the cylinder head, a reduced liner bridge design, and the most compact after-treatment system in its class – the F28 delivers impressive 3.4 l performance within a compact 2.8 l package, facilitating easier vehicle installation. In keeping with FPT Industrial’s commitment to sustainability, the engine boasts optimised combustion for greater efficiency.
