BGR Tech Ltd, a Prenora holding company in India, has signed an MoU with South Korea’s Elchemtech Co. Ltd to introduce advanced Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyser (PEMWE) technology in India. As part of the agreement, Elchemtech will supply its PEM electrolyser, which BGR Tech will integrate with its Balance of Plant (BoP) for local projects.

The MoU was signed by Ms. Priyadershini Raghupathy, Founder and Chairperson, BGR Tech Ltd, and Mr. S.B. Moon, CEO, Elchemtech Co. Ltd, at India Energy Week 2025, in the presence of Mr. Donghyun Kim, Managing Director, and KOTRA dignitaries. Both companies are also exploring options to manufacture or assemble PEM stacks in India under Elchemtech’s expertise, aligning with the "Make in India" initiative.

Elchemtech’s H2Lyser© PEMWE, known for its high efficiency and compact design, features a single-stack capacity of 240 Nm³/hr or 1.25 MW. Under this collaboration, BGR Tech will integrate its BoP, including ultrapure water treatment, gas separation, hydrogen and oxygen purification units, and low-pressure storage in modular skid configurations. This partnership expands BGR Tech’s portfolio, showcasing its expertise in engineering innovation and system integration.

Based in Chennai, BGR Tech Ltd. operates across sectors, including oil and gas, and renewable energy, particularly green hydrogen solutions. With a focus on scalable and modular hydrogen purification systems, the company is positioned to lead the transition to sustainable energy.
