K&R Rail Engg Inks MoU with Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corp

K&R Rail Engineering has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation to undertake large-scale infrastructure projects in India and internationally. This collaboration aims to drive mutual growth by leveraging both organizations’ expertise in executing major railway, road, highway, and port projects.

Under the MoU, the two entities will collaborate on projects valued between Rs 500 million and Rs 50 billion. The partnership is expected to enhance efficiency and expand opportunities in the infrastructure sector, contributing to the development of robust transportation networks.

K&R Rail Engineering specialises in providing comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services. Its portfolio includes earthwork, bridges, civil works, track construction, overhead electrification (OHE), signalling and telecommunication (S&T) solutions, as well as railway operation and maintenance (O&M) consultancy. The company also offers expertise in preparing detailed project reports (DPRs) and other associated activities.

In terms of financial performance, K&R Rail Engineering reported a significant increase in net profit, reaching Rs 60.42 million in Q3 FY25, a 523.30 per cent rise compared to Rs 10.03 million in Q3 FY24. The company’s revenue from operations stood at Rs 1.45 billion in the third quarter of FY25, reflecting a 4.6 per cent year-on-year growth.

With this strategic collaboration, K&R Rail Engineering and Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation aim to strengthen their presence in the infrastructure sector while contributing to the development of large-scale transportation projects.
