Perkins Unveils Next-Gen Power Systems

Perkins is set to make a major impact at bauma 2025 with a comprehensive display of next-generation power systems and services at stand A4.336. With a strong focus on fuel flexibility, sustainability, and electrification, the company will present solutions designed to meet evolving global energy demands.

The Perkins® 2600 Series engine platform, available from 2026, offers up to 690 hp and peak torque of 3,200 Nm, setting new benchmarks in efficiency and compliance with global emissions standards. The 904 Series also sees a performance upgrade with a new 106 kW variant. Both series support renewable fuels like one percent HVO.

A new battery electric power unit, shown in a McElroy TracStar® 900i, demonstrates Perkins’ seamless diesel-to-electric transition capabilities. Meanwhile, Project Coeus explores configurable hybrid systems compatible with fuels like ethanol, methanol, and hydrogen.

Perkins’ expanded digital services and API-based connectivity platform enable real-time condition monitoring, reducing downtime and operational costs. With this diverse lineup, Perkins continues to power progress across industries by delivering performance, flexibility, and sustainable energy solutions tailored to OEM needs.
