NBCC Secures Rs 1.31 Bn Township Project in Meghalaya

NBCC (India) Ltd announced on Tuesday, 29 April, that it has secured an order valued at Rs 1.31 billion from the North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd (NEEPCO). Under the contract, NBCC will develop a township on a 21.66-acre land parcel owned by NEEPCO in Umsawli, located in Shillong, Meghalaya.
The order adds to a series of recent project wins for the state-owned construction and infrastructure firm. Last week, NBCC revealed it had received fresh infrastructure contracts worth Rs 646.7 million. These include a Rs 296.5 million assignment for constructing a hostel block at Sewa Bharti’s Vidya Mandir in Mandoli, Delhi; a Rs 180.5 million contract for infrastructure development at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad; and Rs 169.7 million worth of development work at Dhamnagar College in Bhadrak, Odisha.
Earlier in April, the company also secured orders worth Rs 1.21 billion, including the construction of a multi-storey court building in Gudivada, Andhra Pradesh (Rs 466.9 million), a 14-court complex in Bhimavaram (Rs 721.7 million), and renovation work at the TEC Building in New Delhi (Rs 20.4 million). In addition, NBCC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RailTel to collaborate on the development of data centre infrastructure.
NBCC shares were trading 0.41 per cent lower at Rs 98.24 on Tuesday at 1:35 PM. Despite the dip, the stock has delivered a 20.4 per cent gain over the past month.
