Marico Launches Saffola Cold Pressed Oils in India

Marico Limited, one of India’s leading FMCG companies, has announced its entry into the cold pressed oils segment with the launch of the Saffola Cold Pressed Oils range. This marks a strategic expansion of the Saffola brand, long associated with heart health and nutrition, into a rapidly growing category of health-forward cooking oils.
The new range introduces both Single Seed and Dual Seed variants, designed to preserve flavour, aroma, and nutrients through low-temperature extraction, making them ideal for everyday cooking. The oils aim to offer a balanced blend of monounsaturated (MUFA) and polyunsaturated (PUFA) fatty acids, supporting cholesterol management and long-term wellness.

Product Line-up:

  • Dual Seed Cold Pressed Oils:
  • Groundnut & Sesame
  • Groundnut & Safflower
These blends offer rich flavour and a well-rounded fatty acid profile.
  • Single Seed Cold Pressed Oils:
  • 100% Groundnut
  • 100% Sesame
  • 100% Mustard
These variants provide authentic seed taste and essential fatty acids.
Speaking on the launch, Ashish Gopal, CEO – India Core Business, Marico Limited, stated, “The cold pressed oils category is gaining strong traction. With Saffola’s heart-health legacy and consumer trust, we’re entering the segment not just to compete, but to lead. Our cold pressed oils are a blend of tradition, authenticity, and functional health benefits that today’s consumers demand.”
With a legacy of over 50 years in promoting heart health, Saffola’s entry into the cold pressed oil market is a natural evolution, backed by its expertise in multi-source edible oils. The move aligns with growing consumer demand for clean-label and nutritious kitchen essentials.
The new range will be available across India, starting at Rs 356 for 1 litre of Mustard oil, Rs 506 for Groundnut, and Rs 719 for Sesame oil. Initial distribution will focus on quick commerce platforms, ensuring fast and convenient access for health-conscious households.
