Cooper Corp and Sinfonia Launch India’s First CPCB IV+ Certified LPG Genset

The partnership culminates in the launch of the ‘Daimon Genset,’ India’s first CPCB IV+ certified 10 kVA LPG genset. This groundbreaking product sets a new benchmark in efficient and sustainable power generation and will be exclusively manufactured by Cooper Corporation. It will be marketed both in India and internationally, marking a major step towards technological progress, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
The model CSG-0010L-IN genset, branded ‘DAIMON’ in India, is named after the town where Sinfonia Technology is headquartered. In Japan, the product will be sold under the ‘SATARA’ brand, honouring Cooper Corporation’s long-standing connection to the town. This LPG-powered genset is a superior, cost-effective alternative to traditional diesel gensets and grid power, offering unmatched performance, low operational costs, and easy maintenance. It ensures minimal environmental impact while maximizing energy efficiency.
Farrokh N. Cooper, Chairman & Managing Director of Cooper Corporation Pvt. Ltd., expressed his excitement, stating, “This collaboration with Sinfonia Technology represents a significant step toward reshaping the energy sector with cleaner, smarter solutions. The Daimon Genset showcases the power of collaboration, combining Japanese precision with Indian engineering to create a high-efficiency LPG genset. It exemplifies our commitment to providing sustainable power solutions that are both reliable and cost-effective.”
Makoto Saito, General Manager of the Social Infrastructure System Sales Department at Sinfonia Technology Co. Ltd., added, “Our partnership with Cooper Corporation is a testament to our shared vision of providing sustainable, high-efficiency power solutions globally. The Daimon Genset marries Japanese precision engineering with India’s manufacturing expertise to create a product that meets the highest international standards. This collaboration is a key milestone in expanding clean energy accessibility for a greener future.”
The Daimon Genset is powered by Cooper’s indigenously developed lean-burn gas engine, developed in partnership with Ricardo, UK. This advanced system features an Electronic Engine Management System, Isochronous Governing, and a compact V-Twin 2-Cylinder engine. It delivers lower emissions, operates quietly, has high power density, and is designed for space-efficient use, making it suitable for both urban and rural applications, such as microgrids, educational institutions, retail outlets, and industrial setups.
Manufactured at Cooper Corporation’s state-of-the-art facility in Satara, Maharashtra, the genset will be marketed and distributed in India and abroad, with a strategic focus on expanding its presence in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Sinfonia Technology’s deep expertise in power electronics and its strong global market presence will enhance the alliance’s ability to deliver world-class clean energy solutions, addressing the growing demand for sustainable power worldwide.
