Minda, Qualcomm Join Forces for Smart Auto Cockpit Tech

Minda Corporation Limited, the flagship of the Spark Minda Group, has announced a strategic partnership with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. to develop intelligent and connected cockpit solutions for the Indian automotive market. The upcoming smart interface will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform.
Commenting on the collaboration, Suresh D, Group CTO of Minda Corporation, said, “This partnership with Qualcomm Technologies marks a major milestone in advancing Minda’s digital cockpit capabilities. By utilising Qualcomm’s cutting-edge automotive platforms, we can now offer seamless multi-display integration, intuitive HMI, and software-defined cockpit systems based on Android and QNX. This collaboration reinforces our long-term commitment to innovation, sustainability, and delivering premium user experiences.”
The Snapdragon Cockpit Platform is currently seen in models like the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e, and is set to power more advanced features in next-generation vehicles. These features aim to enhance user customisation, connectivity, and real-time information delivery for drivers.
Savi Soin, Senior Vice President and India President, Qualcomm Technologies, added, “We are delighted to partner with Spark Minda to bring advanced, localised cockpit solutions to India. The Snapdragon Digital Chassis empowers manufacturers to offer state-of-the-art in-vehicle experiences and redefine automotive innovation for Indian consumers.”
One notable deployment of Qualcomm's cockpit platform is in the Mahindra XEV 9e, which includes a class-first setup of three 12.3-inch displays—one of which serves the front passenger. With over 230,000 DMIPS, the platform delivers swift and seamless performance.
Multimedia capabilities include smart voice commands, high-definition visuals, and real-time system feedback, offering a truly interactive driving experience. The platform is designed to deliver not just entertainment but also critical driving information, setting a new benchmark for cockpit intelligence in the Indian automotive sector.
