National Maritime Seminar Concludes in New Delhi

The two-day National Seminar on ‘India’s Maritime Vision’, jointly organised by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS) and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies (MAKAIAS), concluded in New Delhi on 25 July 2025.
The seminar brought together senior officers from the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, as well as scholars, policymakers, and maritime experts. Discussions centred on India’s maritime heritage, evolving geopolitical imperatives in the Indo-Pacific, and opportunities in the blue economy.
Participants called for stronger inter-agency collaboration and synergy among maritime security agencies, cultural bodies, and developmental institutions. They stressed that such cooperation is essential to formulating a comprehensive maritime doctrine aligned with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The event marked a significant convergence of defence, policy, and academic perspectives on shaping India’s future maritime strategy.
