Juniper Green Energy Signs 100 MW PPA with GUVNL in Gujarat

Juniper Green Energy Limited, through its subsidiary Juniper Green Bess Two Pvt Ltd, has signed a 25 year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for a 100 MW wind energy project in Gujarat. The PPA was executed on 18 July and the project is expected to begin supplying power in July 2027.

In addition, the company has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from GUVNL for an additional 50 MW wind project, further strengthening its presence in the state’s renewable energy sector.

“We are proud to partner with GUVNL to deliver sustainable wind power,” said Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy. “With the signing of a 100 MW PPA and the additional 50 MW LoI, we reinforce our commitment to advancing India’s renewable energy targets and enhance our footprint in Gujarat.”

This development builds on Juniper’s earlier successes in Gujarat, where it has secured multiple wind energy contracts, including a 90 MW PPA awarded in June 2024.

By converting the tendered projects into long-term PPAs, Juniper is making strong inroads into the state’s renewable transition efforts.
