PCMC to Expand Fire Network with New Stations Across City

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is expanding its fire station network to enhance emergency response in the rapidly growing city. Ten fire stations are currently operational, including key locations like Pimpri, Bhosari, Chikhli, and Moshi.

Construction is underway at Punawale, Dighi, and Nigdi-Pradhikaran (Hedgewar Bhavan), alongside upgrades at the Pimpri headquarters. New stations are being planned to serve industrial hubs, residential zones, and emerging townships.

PCMC is also acquiring land in areas like Pimple Nilakh, Chikhali, and World Pride City. Efforts include coordination with the Defence Department and town planning teams to identify and secure land parcels. A tender is underway for a station in MIDC Bhosari (F-2 block).

This city-wide initiative aims to reduce emergency response times and ensure coverage in high-risk and high-density zones, in line with Pimpri-Chinchwad’s urban development.
