Environmental Solutions Opens New Center of Excellence in Bengaluru

Environmental Solutions (ES), a business segment of Terex Corporation and global leader in environmental equipment and technology, has announced the grand opening of its new technical Center of Excellence in Whitefield, Bengaluru, India. This state-of-the-art facility expands ES’s global footprint and enhances its ability to serve customers worldwide.

TIRC ES, short for Terex India R&D Center, Environmental Solutions, joins ES’s established network of Centers of Excellence in Austin, Texas; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and San Diego, California. The Bengaluru team will focus on advancing digital, RCV (Refuse Collection Vehicle), and Stationary (Compactors & Balers) product development and providing Technical and Manufacturing Engineering support for ES brands, including Heil®, Marathon®, and 3rd Eye®.

Spanning 17,700 square feet, the facility features a dedicated electrical lab and zones for hardware and software testing. In addition to the office, 5,600 sq ft of the test lab has been developed, where lifecycle testing is conducted to support product development. The center is staffed by 160 team members, who transitioned over from Dover India on July 1st and have been fully integrated into the Terex engineering ecosystem as a result of Terex’s acquisition of Environmental Solutions Group from Dover Corporation in October 2024.

“TIRC ES is part of a global engineering network that enhances agility, innovation, and operational continuity,” said Vikram Sikand, Vice President of Engineering & Product Management. “This model allows us to serve global markets more efficiently, scale rapidly, and accelerate the delivery of next-generation technologies.”

The opening was celebrated with a traditional Indian Pooja ceremony, symbolizing prosperity and new beginnings, followed by onboarding and a warm welcome from leadership teams across the organization.

“We’re thrilled to officially welcome this highly skilled and dedicated team to Environmental Solutions,” said Pat Carroll, President of Environmental Solutions. “This opening is a major milestone in our growth strategy, and we are grateful for the commitment of our new team members during this transition. I also want to thank the cross-functional teams who made this possible under tight timelines. It’s a powerful example of what we can accomplish together.

The new Center of Excellence strengthens Terex’s global innovation capabilities and reinforces its commitment to building smart, sustainable solutions for customers across the environmental equipment and technology landscape.
