Knauf India Launches Eco-Friendly Gypsum Flooring Range

Knauf India, the global leader in drywall and ceiling solutions, has introduced its latest innovation—GIFAfloor, a modern, high-performance raised flooring system designed to replace traditional wet construction methods. This gypsum-based range offers a sustainable, dry, and fast-installation solution that is ideal for a wide range of commercial and specialist environments.
Made with high-density, non-combustible gypsum fibre core panels, the GIFAfloor system is primed on both sides and can be finished with various top layers including tile, vinyl, wood, and carpet. It is installed using a complete set of components—adhesive, pedestals, and gaskets—making the process efficient and hassle-free.
A Sustainable Alternative to Wet Construction
Unlike cement-based floors, Knauf’s GIFAfloor requires no water or curing, making it significantly faster and more environmentally friendly to install. This system reflects Knauf’s commitment to green building and long-term performance.
Sumit Bidani, CEO of Knauf India, stated:
“Our new GIFAfloor range reflects Knauf’s drive to blend innovation with practicality. Each solution is tailored to deliver durability, flexibility, and sustainability—hallmarks of Knauf’s trusted quality. Its adoption in global landmark projects is proof of its superior performance.”
Use Cases Across High-Demand Spaces
GIFAfloor systems have already been installed in major international developments, including Tour Alto in Paris, The Louvre in Abu Dhabi, and Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3. In India, they are targeted at modern office buildings, data centres, hospitals, and schools—spaces requiring a high degree of fire resistance, acoustic control, and load-bearing capacity.

Product Variants and Technical Features:
