Flipkart Expands Supply Chain by Rs 12 Billion for Festive Rush

Bengaluru, Karnataka: Flipkart, India’s leading e-commerce platform, has announced a significant Rs 12 billion expansion of its nationwide supply chain infrastructure ahead of the Big Billion Days 2025. Spanning 3.5 million sq. ft., the expansion includes new fulfilment centres (FCs), micro-fulfilment hubs, and last-mile delivery points across key states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, and Tripura—bringing faster deliveries and greater reach across over 21,000 pincodes.
Flipkart's expansion will enhance operations across Large, Non-Large, and Grocery categories—including offerings by Myntra—and includes the establishment of over 400 micro-fulfilment centres in 19 cities, boosting its quick commerce capabilities. The network upgrade aims to handle millions of orders with speed and efficiency during the festive surge.
Key Infrastructure Highlights:
- Varanasi FC: 2 lakh sq. ft., generating 3,600 jobs
- Patna FC: 4.5 lakh sq. ft., serving 1,000+ pincodes and creating 1,100 jobs
- Manesar RDC: Spanning 140 acres, with capacity to create 10,000 jobs, supporting diverse product categories
- Agartala Grocery FC: 35,000 sq. ft., dispatching 5,000 orders daily
In addition, Flipkart has activated centres in Ranchi, Guwahati, Singur, Saidham, Agra, and Ghaziabad, bringing its total fulfilment footprint to over 100 centres nationwide.
Hemant Badri, Senior Vice President at Flipkart, stated:
“This festive season, our 35 lakh sq. ft. infrastructure boost not only ensures rapid delivery across Bharat but also generates over 2.2 lakh seasonal jobs, with a strong focus on women, persons with disabilities, and first-time workers.”
Inclusive Growth & Health Initiatives:
Flipkart’s Supply Chain Operations Academy (SCOA) and collaborations with social organisations are equipping frontline workers with tech-led skills. Ekart, Flipkart’s logistics arm, has also launched health camps in partnership with NReach Online Services Ltd under the Suraksha wellness initiative. These camps are expected to reach 6,000 associates across 21 supply chain hubs, offering blood, liver, kidney, diabetic, and cardiac screenings. Suraksha has so far benefited 1.7 lakh workers and enabled over 1.8 million minutes of doctor consultations in 2025 alone.
