Himadri’s Hooghly Plant Earns ISCC PLUS Certification
2025-09-01
Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd (HSCL), a global leader in speciality chemicals and advanced materials, has announced that its flagship facility at Mahistikry, Haripal in Hooghly, India, has been awarded the prestigious ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification). This certification reinforces Himadri’s position at the forefront of sustainable, transparent, and circular economy-driven operations across global value chains.
ISCC PLUS is one of the world’s most stringent sustainability standards, focusing on key areas such as greenhouse gas emission reductions, protection of ecosystems, social accountability, and full traceability of raw materials. The certification recognises enterprises that implement robust sustainability protocols and are driving the transition towards circular production across industries.
Commenting on the development, Anurag Choudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd, said:
“Securing ISCC PLUS certification is a landmark in our sustainability journey. It reflects our commitment to embedding renewable, low-carbon, and circular solutions across all facets of our operations. As industries worldwide pivot towards sustainable value chains, Himadri is leading that transformation—delivering long-term value for society, the environment, and our stakeholders.”
The certification was granted following an independent and rigorous audit by an authorised ISCC framework certification body. With this achievement, Himadri joins a select group of global companies recognised for responsible sourcing, transparent production, and ecological leadership.
Himadri’s ISCC PLUS certification not only strengthens its sustainability credentials but also reinforces its strategic role in enabling environmentally responsible innovation in the chemical and advanced materials sector.
