DDA Plans Major Infrastructure Upgrade in Dwarka Sector 19
2025-09-16
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is spearheading a significant infrastructure redevelopment in Dwarka Sector 19 and surrounding villages, covering 1,769 hectares of land. Officials unveiled the initiative on Thursday, citing the need to upgrade existing infrastructure.
In the project’s first phase, the DDA will appoint a firm to conduct a comprehensive survey of the area, which will inform the design of an extensive road and drainage network. Preliminary work has already commenced, and tenders have been issued for further construction.
The authority aims to boost development across outer Delhi regions, including Dwarka and Narela. The Rs 2.5 billion budget also includes sports complexes, one of which has been inaugurated by LG VK Saxena. The plans encompass new roads, guest houses, a five-star hotel, and a super-speciality hospital, reflecting a holistic approach to urban redevelopment.
