Precast Academy 2025 Launched in Hyderabad

Elematic Oyj, a global leader in precast concrete technology, launched Precast Academy 2025 in Hyderabad to accelerate India’s construction transformation. The two-day event brought together leading developers, contractors, and international experts to discuss speed, quality, and sustainability in urban development.

Opening the event, Kimmo Lähdevirta, Ambassador of Finland to India, said: “We see India as huge opportunity for Finnish companies to participate in the growth and bring our expertise and innovations to the Indian market. Precast construction has its origins in Finland since the 1950s, with over 95 per cent of all new buildings built in precast today.”

Elematic CEO Teppo Voutilainen highlighted India’s growth: “India’s urban transformation is extraordinary. By adopting precast construction, India can accelerate project delivery, increase productivity, reduce costs, and cut carbon emissions—helping to build a smarter, more sustainable future.”

Key sessions featured MyHome Constructions, Suraksha Smart City, PSP Projects, and Robomatic Precon, alongside technology partners including Trimble, Peikko, and ElectroMech. Participants also visited Hyderabad’s MyHome Grava project, India’s largest commercial building built with precast, saving 14,300 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

Shridhar Rao, Sales Director, Elematic India, added: “The Academy is about collaboration. By sharing experiences between Indian builders and global experts, we can unlock new ways to deliver affordable, sustainable, and high-quality homes and infrastructure.”
