OIL Completes Mechanical Works on Numaligarh–Siliguri Pipeline

The project enhances the pipeline’s transport capacity from 1.72 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMTPA) to 5.5 MMTPA, enabling efficient handling of increased product flows from the Numaligarh Refinery.
The NSPL upgradation project spans Assam and West Bengal, comprising five pump stations and one receipt terminal. This milestone demonstrates OIL’s strong execution capability in supporting the Numaligarh Refinery Expansion Project, which aims to triple the refinery’s capacity from 3.0 MMTPA to 9.0 MMTPA.
The completion reinforces OIL’s commitment to enhancing petroleum infrastructure in India’s Northeastern region, contributing to the nation’s energy security and rising demand for petroleum products.
