ORGATEC Launches First India Edition

ORGATEC, the global leader in workspace design and facility innovation, launched its first-ever Indian edition today at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai—marking a major milestone for India’s rapidly evolving commercial interiors and office solutions industry. With 103 exhibitors from more than 10 countries and over 8,000 trade visitors expected, ORGATEC India 2025 is set to transform how workplaces in the country are designed, automated and experienced.

The grand inaugural ceremony was attended by industry leaders including Nirupam Chaudhuri (Director, NASSCOM), Bharti Singh Kalappa (Head of Facilities, Noida International Airport), Sakhee Chandrayan (Founder & President, INBAC), Dr Mala Singh (Chairperson, IGBC – Mumbai Chapter), Makarand Kulkarni (CRISP Contributor), Ajay Bhatt (CRISP Contributor & Group Head – Corporate Services, Godrej Industries Group), Oliver Frese (COO, Koelnmesse GmbH), and Milind Dixit (Managing Director, Koelnmesse India).

India’s workspace market is undergoing unprecedented growth. Grade-A office leasing exceeded 70 million sq ft in 2024, while demand for managed and flexible workspaces rose 57 per cent YoY. With businesses prioritising ESG-focused design, human-centric workplaces, AI-enabled automation and wellness-driven environments, ORGATEC India arrives at a critical moment in the country’s $150-billion workspace transformation journey.

Leaders across industries emphasised the growing need for intelligent, sustainable and people-centric workplaces:

The exhibition floor features leading global and Indian brands such as Interio by Godrej, Nilkamal EDGE, Wipro, Kokuyo, Spacewood, Humanscale, AFC Systems, Haworth, Ozone India, Framery and others, spanning furniture, ergonomics, automation, acoustics, lighting, materials, IT integration and facility technologies.

ORGATEC India 2025 is supported by prominent industry bodies including AFMA, AESA, CGAI, CRISP, ESC, IGBC, INBAC, MAIT and NASSCOM—reinforcing its role as a central platform for workspace, real estate, design, technology and sustainability stakeholders.

The show opened with “Workplace Dialogues,” a high-powered series of discussions featuring CXOs from real estate, IT, design and facility management. Live sessions across the venue cover hybrid work models, AI-driven planning, ESG-ready design, neuro-design, sustainability and wellness-centric environments.

The debut edition offers a comprehensive sourcing marketplace—from furniture and ergonomics to smart office tech, coworking solutions, building automation and facility systems. Key highlights include the Global Exhibitor Showcase, the Design District, an Innovation & Start-Up Pavilion, and a Hosted Buyer Programme enabling curated business meetings.

Industry leaders also unveiled new solutions tailored to India’s evolving office landscape:

Spacewood Office Solutions introduced modular, wellness-focused, tech-ready workstations built with circular design and eco-certified materials.
KOKUYO showcased human-centric, mobility-driven solutions shaped by Japanese design and a Sustainability Transformation Workplace vision.
