Apollo Completes Acquisition Of IDL Explosives

IDL Explosives operates manufacturing facilities in Rourkela and several other locations across India. Apollo Group plans to expand and strengthen the company’s operations in line with its strategic ambitions within the rapidly growing defence explosives sector.

The acquisition marks the start of a wider strategic consolidation expected to begin in Q3 FY2026. Through this integration, Apollo Group aims to broaden its presence in the defence industry by adding next-generation capabilities in high-end defence-grade explosives, propellants, and warhead systems. These will complement its existing expertise in weapon system electronics and platforms.
