PVV Infra To Build Rs6.5 Billion Solar Cell Plant In Andhra Pradesh

PVV Infra Ltd., a company engaged in solar rooftop installations, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board to establish a solar cells manufacturing facility in the State. The project represents an investment of Rs6.5 billion.

The new manufacturing unit will be set up in Visakhapatnam, near the airport, on a 30-acre industrial site within the region’s solar cells manufacturing cluster. According to the company, the development is expected to generate around 350 direct jobs and more than 450 indirect jobs.

PVV Infra stated that it will draw on its capabilities in investment, technology, planning, design, and equipment sourcing to build and operationalise the advanced TOPCon solar cell production facility. The initiative, it added, reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening India’s renewable energy infrastructure while promoting sustainable industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh.
