Piyush Goyal To Lead Business Delegation To Israel

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal will undertake an official visit to Israel from 20–22 November 2025 at the invitation of Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry, Nir Barkat. The visit highlights the expanding strategic and economic engagement between the two countries and reflects their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in trade, technology, innovation and investment. Shri Goyal will be accompanied by a 60-member business delegation facilitated by CII, FICCI, Assocham and Start-up India.

During the visit, Shri Goyal will hold high-level bilateral meetings with senior Israeli leaders. Alongside Minister Nir Barkat, he is also expected to meet several other Cabinet members. Discussions will centre on boosting trade and investment, advancing collaboration in sectors such as agriculture, water, defence, emerging technologies, life sciences, infrastructure and advanced manufacturing, and increasing partnerships between businesses and start-ups from both countries. Progress on the proposed India–Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is also expected to be reviewed.

As part of the programme, the Minister will participate in the India–Israel Business Forum, attended by leading business associations and industry representatives from both sides. The Forum will feature opening and closing plenary sessions, technical discussions and structured B2B engagements aimed at expanding commercial partnerships, promoting investment and identifying opportunities for joint ventures in priority sectors. The fourth edition of the high-level CEOs Forum will also take place, involving prominent industry leaders from both nations.

Shri Goyal will additionally meet senior executives from major Israeli companies in fields such as agriculture, desalination and wastewater management, cyber security, smart mobility and infrastructure, and will engage with prominent Israeli investors.

Beyond official engagements in Tel Aviv, the itinerary includes visits to key institutions and innovation hubs showcasing Israel’s technological ecosystem. Cultural and community interactions, including engagements with the Indian community and business leaders of Indian origin, will also form part of the visit.

The visit is expected to reinforce the longstanding India–Israel partnership, strengthen economic linkages and create new avenues for collaboration across sectors of mutual interest.
