Enlite Launches World’s First Patented Edge Controller for Smart Infrastructure

Enlite, an Indian deep-tech automation company, has launched what it calls the world’s first patented universal edge controller designed to operate seamlessly across commercial buildings, data centres, industrial facilities, public infrastructure, smart townships and corporate parks. The controller represents a major milestone in global infrastructure automation by consolidating intelligence into a single, infra-agnostic hardware that eliminates complex wiring.

The device — STR-V1-1204485 — functions as the central intelligence of the entire automation ecosystem, supported by expansion modules that extend capabilities through a simple wireless architecture. It enables real-time decision-making at the edge through embedded generative intelligence, allowing infrastructure systems to respond adaptively to operational demands.

Enlite said the platform is designed to handle millions of decisions per day while maintaining stability, security and operational efficiency. It also enhances sustainability outcomes by optimising energy and water consumption, improving ESG reporting accuracy and boosting renewable resource utilisation.

Co-founder and CEO Gaurav Bali said the controller was created to “redefine how infrastructure thinks”, bringing autonomy and speed to diverse environments through wireless, modular automation. Co-founder and CTO Garima Bharadwaj added that the system represents a shift from automation to “autonomous intelligence,” enabling buildings, plants and complexes to self-manage in real time.

The launch underscores India’s emergence as a creator of next-generation automation technologies in a domain historically dominated by global players. With the new controller, Enlite aims to position India as a leader in advanced infrastructure intelligence.
