Titan Intech, MIC Partner to Localise Advanced Display Technologies
2025-11-26
Titan Intech Limited has announced a strategic technology partnership with Seoul-based Media Information Communication Co, Ltd. (MIC) to co-develop and localise advanced LED, SMD, MiP, Mini-LED and LCD display control systems in India. The collaboration aims to build the country’s first integrated high-performance display technology ecosystem, supporting import substitution and strengthening self-reliance in the sector.
The partnership involves a phased investment of about Rs 13.5 million over seven years to support technology absorption, infrastructure expansion and localised production of display modules and control systems. Under the agreement, MIC will transfer complete design documentation, hardware and firmware packages, and software licences for LED calibration and control, including the mLED Master Suite in Standard, Premium and 4K versions. The seven-year non-exclusive licence (2025–2032) covers production and calibration tools for SMD and Mini-LED systems.
Kumarraju Rudraraju, Managing Director, Titan Intech Limited, said the alliance marks a major milestone in India’s technological self-reliance journey. Integrating Korean innovation with Indian engineering, he noted, aligns strongly with national initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, while expanding domestic value addition and supporting export-ready products.
The collaboration extends to the joint development of FPGA/SoC-based LED control systems, Android controller boards for interactive LCD displays and IP-based Passenger Information Systems for aviation, railways and metro networks—broadening Titan Intech’s capabilities across key public and commercial infrastructure segments.
As part of the arrangement, Titan Intech will gain exclusive manufacturing and commercialisation rights for India, along with non-exclusive global R&D rights. This will enable the company to export India-engineered display technologies under its TitanView and TitanPro brands.
