PFC Forms SPV For NERGS-III Siang Basin Transmission Project

PFC Consulting (PFCCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), has incorporated a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) named NERGS III Siang Basin Transmission. The SPV will oversee the development of the NERGS-III Siang Basin transmission project.

The Ministry of Power has appointed PFCCL as the Bid Process Coordinator to manage the selection of a Transmission Service Provider for the project. Under Ministry guidelines, PFCCL will prepare the project profile and undertake initial activities such as land acquisition and forest clearances. The SPV has been created to carry out preparatory tasks including surveys, reporting and other groundwork.

After the competitive bidding process is completed, the SPV will be transferred to the successful bidder, who will then take responsibility for full project development.
