SWREL Wins Rs 13.8 Billion Order Under Adani Green Deal

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL), a leading renewable EPC company, has announced a five-year Strategic Partnership Framework Agreement with Adani Green Energy Ltd, alongside securing its first Rs 13.81 billion purchase order under the arrangement.

The order relates to a Balance of System (BOS) package for three solar power projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat, one of the world’s largest renewable energy developments. It includes the supply of goods and onsite services, the company said.

SWREL is currently delivering around 6 GW of projects in the Khavda region, with 5 GW scheduled for completion within this fiscal year. The additional 1 GW project under this new contract strengthens the company’s strong position in Gujarat’s renewable energy market.

Commenting on the development, Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, said the agreement marks both a significant strategic partnership and the company’s largest domestic EPC order this fiscal. He noted that the collaboration between India’s largest renewable energy developer and one of the country’s leading solar EPC firms highlights SWREL’s engineering expertise and proven capability in delivering large-scale projects swiftly.

Thakur added that with this order, SWREL’s total inflows for the fiscal year have exceeded Rs 64.5 billion, supported by a strong project pipeline.
