Ashok Leyland Debuts New CEV-V Compact Engine Series at EXCON 2025

Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group and a leading name in India’s commercial vehicle sector, unveiled its next-generation P15 (49 & 55 HP) and H4 Unipack (55 & 74 HP) engine series at EXCON 2025. Fully compliant with CEV Stage V emission standards, the new engines are built to deliver higher efficiency, stronger performance and long-term durability for a wide range of off-highway and industrial applications.

Developed at advanced manufacturing facilities and aligned with global quality benchmarks, the engines underline the company’s continued focus on innovation and customer-centric engineering. The 12th edition of EXCON is being held from December 9–13, 2025, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).

“Our customers need solutions that keep operations smooth and cost-efficient. The new P15 and H4 Unipack engines offer higher power, better fuel economy and proven reliability,” said Amandeep Singh, President – LCV, International Operations, Defence & Power Solutions. He added that the launch further reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and aligns with India’s ‘Make in India’ ambition.

These engines are versatile, durable and easy to integrate across equipment categories,” said Sathyanandan M, Head – Power Solutions, noting that the products are designed to help businesses enhance productivity with dependable technology.

The P15 engine is suited for compact machines such as skid-steer loaders, mini compactors, sweepers and forklifts. Offering strong pulling power in a lightweight design, it ensures high output with better fuel savings. Customers can also opt for a high-speed non-emission variant (up to 3300 rpm) or a CNG-powered option for cleaner operation.

The H4 Unipack series, offered in 55 HP and 74 HP variants, is tailored for high-demand applications like backhoe loaders. Designed for rugged performance, it features reliable cold starts and can operate at altitudes up to 5,500 metres while meeting stringent emission norms.

Ashok Leyland also showcased a suite of advanced solutions including the A6 Series 380 HP CRS engine, H6 Series hydrogen and flexi-fuel engines, a 133 HP CEV Stage V H6 variant without intercooler, an 82.5 kVA diesel genset, a compact Flex EATS system for Stage V applications, and airless DEF tank solutions.

With decades of engineering leadership supported by a strong service network, the company continues to expand its footprint in the industrial engine market. Ashok Leyland is exhibiting at Stall B69 and B70 in Hall 3, Lower Level.
