2025-12-11
Caterpillar Inc., a global leader in construction and mining machinery, strengthened its commitment to India’s infrastructure growth with the debut of three new Cat® hydraulic excavators at EXCON 2025, held from December 9–13 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. The new models—Cat 321, Cat 322 and Cat 324—mark a significant step forward in delivering efficient, digital-ready equipment tailored for India’s evolving construction needs.
Designed to support sustainability and productivity on modern jobsites, the machines feature advanced powertrains and intelligent electrohydraulic systems aimed at improving fuel efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Caterpillar also announced an enhanced Cat® Customer Value Agreement (CVA) that will include a new Services Commitment from 2026, offering Two-Day Repairs for common jobs or compensation to the customer.
“EXCON 2025 is one of the most anticipated events in South Asia’s construction industry,” said Nicole Li, Vice President–Sales & Marketing, Global Construction and Infrastructure, Caterpillar. “With more than five decades of innovation in India, we remain committed to delivering customer-focused solutions that power critical infrastructure.”
Ebban Clause, Vice President–Sales & Marketing, Construction Industries Services Division, added that the improved CVA aims to give customers peace of mind through rapid repairs and next-day parts availability.
At the Caterpillar pavilion, visitors explored a wide lineup of machines equipped with smart technologies including Product Link™, VisionLink™, Cat Grade with Assist and CVAs—tools that enhance jobsite efficiency, support data-driven planning and optimise equipment lifecycle value.
The three new excavators offer a range of performance-focused features:
• Cat 321: A fuel-efficient all-purpose model with integrated engine–hydraulic control, multiple operating modes, reinforced structures and a new operator-friendly cab.
• Cat 322: Built for high production with faster cycles, robust bucket options, welded structures and a safe, convenient service platform.
• Cat 324: A heavy-duty model for high-output workloads, equipped with a Cat C7.1 engine, long undercarriage, durable components and optional ROPS cab.
Alongside equipment innovation, Caterpillar highlighted its integrated solutions spanning fleet management, diagnostics, financing and rebuild options—supporting India’s accelerating push toward sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
