PALFINGER, LTTS Form GDC in Pune to Boost Global Engineering Capacity

PALFINGER, a global leader in lifting solutions, and L&T Technology Services (LTTS), a leading provider of AI, digital and engineering consulting services, have entered into a strategic partnership to establish a Global Development Center (GDC) in Pune. The collaboration is aimed at expanding PALFINGER’s global engineering capabilities, increasing operational agility and reinforcing its long-term commitment to the APAC region, with India positioned as a key growth market.

The joint initiative was formally announced at a ceremony in Pune on December 9, where both companies signed the agreement that sets the foundation for a long-term collaboration. “By partnering with LTTS, we are significantly expanding our engineering capacity in a key market for future growth. This investment is a direct expression of Reach Higher, our Strategy 2030+, and strengthens our presence in strategically important regions like APAC with India at the forefront. It’s a strong signal of our commitment to Lifetime Excellence through global integration and local empowerment,” said Alexander Susanek, COO, PALFINGER.

Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President, Mobility and Tech, L&T Technology Services, added, “PALFINGER is a global innovator with an ambitious strategy for the future and we are proud to support their journey with our deep engineering expertise in AI-led digital transformation. The new GDC in Pune will serve as a strategic innovation hub bringing together AI-powered simulation and embedded engineering to help PALFINGER build future-ready solutions while achieving faster development and improved cost competitiveness.”

Located in Pune, a major center for automotive, software and mechanical engineering, the new GDC will be set up and operated by LTTS. Beginning with around 20 specialists, the team will gradually expand to support PALFINGER’s local and global development programmes. Integrated closely with the company’s global engineering network, including the Technology Center in Köstendorf, Austria, the Pune team will help accelerate development cycles and strengthen responsiveness to India’s rapidly evolving market.

PALFINGER is also augmenting its partner ecosystem, supply chain operations and exploring local manufacturing to meet increasing regional demand. The company is showcasing its latest portfolio at EXCON 2025, underscoring its long-term focus on India.
