MAHA Metro Invites Bids for Six Thane Metro Stations

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MAHA Metro) has recently invited bids for a Rs 2237 million civil works contract for the construction of six elevated stations under the Thane Integral Ring Metro Project. The tender marks a significant step forward for the metro rail expansion in Thane.

The scope of work includes the construction of six elevated stations—Dr Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, Manpada, Dongripada, Vijay Nagari, Waghbil and Waterfront—which form an important section of the project corridor. The completion period for the contract has been set at 30 months.

As per tender details, the pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 22 December 2025, while the bid submission deadline is 22 January 2026. The contract has been issued under Tender No T1-023/C-02/2025.

The Thane Metro Phase 1 project, officially known as the Thane Integral Ring Metro, is a 29 km mass rapid transit system with a single circular corridor comprising 22 stations. The metro line will run along the western periphery of Thane city, aimed at improving urban mobility and easing traffic congestion.
