Godrej Properties Logs Rs 26 Bn Sales in First Year in Hyderabad

Godrej Properties has reported housing sales worth over Rs 26 billion in its first year of operations in Hyderabad, underscoring a strong market entry and prompting the company to accelerate expansion plans in the city. The developer sees significant long-term growth potential in Hyderabad, driven by sustained demand for premium and luxury residential properties.

The company entered the Hyderabad housing market in January this year with the launch of its first residential project at Kokapet. This was followed by a second project launch during the July–September quarter. Together, these two developments generated sales bookings exceeding Rs 26 billion in the company’s first calendar year of operations in the city.

In an interview with PTI, Pirojsha Godrej, Executive Chairperson, Godrej Properties, said, “We launched our first project in Hyderabad during January–March quarter. We launched our second project in July–September quarter. Between these two projects, we have achieved sales bookings of more than Rs 26 billion in our first calendar year of operation in the city.”

Highlighting the city’s prospects, he noted that Hyderabad offers “huge growth potential,” particularly in the premium and luxury housing segments. The company plans to scale up its presence to capitalise on robust end-user and investor demand.

Godrej Properties is among India’s leading real estate developers, with a strong footprint across major residential markets including the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Delhi-NCR, Pune and Bengaluru. With its entry into Hyderabad, the company is now developing group housing projects across five key Indian cities.

Buoyed by its strong sales performance, Godrej Properties is actively pursuing land acquisitions in Hyderabad. Recently, the company won a bid to acquire a five-acre land parcel in Neopolis, Kokapet, through an e-auction conducted by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority. The site is planned to host a premium residential project with a saleable area of around 2.5 million sq. ft. and an estimated revenue potential of approximately Rs 41.50 billion.

Earlier, in August, the developer also acquired a 7.825-acre land parcel in Kukatpally, further strengthening its growth pipeline in the Hyderabad market.
