Denta Water Wins Rs 1.06 Bn Karnataka Water Infrastructure Projects

Denta Water and Infra Solutions, a prominent civil engineering contractor specialising in water infrastructure, has secured four major projects worth over Rs 1.06 billion from the Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC), an undertaking of the Government of Karnataka. The projects further strengthen the company’s role in enhancing urban sanitation and wastewater management across the state.

The contracts, valued at more than Rs 1.06 billion excluding GST, involve the construction, upgradation, and rehabilitation of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) and sewerage systems. The projects are being funded under key government initiatives, including the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0 Fund and the National Green Tribunal (NGT) Fund.

One of the largest assignments is in Tumakuru City, where Denta Water will undertake the construction and upgradation of the sewerage system under the Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) model. The project carries a contract value of Rs 410.74 million, excluding GST.

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0, the SBM/BGM Package-2 (Call-1) project involves the construction of STPs in five urban local bodies in Belagavi district—Examba, M.K. Hubballi, Gokak, Mudalagi, and Nippani. The STPs will have capacities ranging from 1.20 MLD to 9.59 MLD, with a total contract value of Rs 300.16 million.

Another SBM (Urban) 2.0 project, SBM/KLB Package-1 (Call-2), includes the construction of new STPs in Aland and Shahabad and the rehabilitation of an existing facility in Sedam, all located in Kalburgi district. This project is valued at Rs 200.40 million.

Additionally, the SBM/BGM Package-5 (Call-2) project, worth Rs 130.99 million, covers STP construction across multiple towns in Bagalkot, Dharwad, Gadag, and Vijayapura districts.

“We are honored to have been entrusted by KUIDFC with these four critical water infrastructure projects,” said C. Mruthyunjaya Swamy, Chairman and Executive Director, Denta Water and Infra Solutions Limited.

The projects collectively reinforce Denta Water’s commitment to sustainable urban development and improved environmental outcomes through modern water infrastructure solutions.
