Modi to Conduct Inaugurations and Announce Projects in Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that from December 20th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the state to inaugurate a series of infrastructure projects.

One of these projects include the new Rs 40 billion terminal building of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. Additionally, PM Modi will also unveil an 80-foot statue of Bharat Ratna Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi within the airport premises. Following the inauguration and unveiling, the PM plans to interact with BJP members at the party's state office in Guwahati.

The following day, he will visit the river terminal on the Brahmaputra in Guwahati at around 8 am. Then he will interact with some 25-30 children on Charaideo vessel as part of the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme.

Afterward he will visit the Swahid Smarak in Boragaon and commemorate the 855 martyrs of the Assam movement. And lastly he will travel to Dibrugarh to lay the foundation stone for the Namrup-IV Ammonia-Urea project which is estimated to have costed Rs 100 billion.
