Skyjack Launches New Electric and Hybrid Rough-Terrain Boom Lifts

Skyjack has expanded its rough-terrain articulated boom lift range in North America with the introduction of two all-electric models and two hybrid electric-diesel variants. The new lineup includes the SJ45 AJE+ and SJ60 AJE+ battery-powered machines, alongside the SJ45 AJHE+ and SJ60 AJHE+ hybrid models.

Designed for use across a wide range of terrain, the new boom lifts are also suitable for indoor applications where emission restrictions apply. Platform heights are indicated by the model numbers, with the SJ45 offering a 45-foot platform height and the SJ60 reaching 60 feet. Platform capacities reach up to 1,000 pounds on the SJ60 models and 660 pounds on the SJ45 versions.

Skyjack says the all-electric models are capable of delivering multiple days of operation on a single charge, with full charging achieved in under 15 hours and up to 80 per cent charge in less than nine hours. The hybrid versions can be bulk charged to 85 per cent in under three hours, with onboard Kubota diesel generator engines recharging the batteries during operation.
