YEIDA Allots Plot To Neenjas Electric For EV Expansion

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has issued a Letter of Intent to Neenjas Electric for the allotment of a 20,000 square metre industrial plot in Sector 8D, providing a boost to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and India’s electric vehicle ecosystem.

The proposed facility will serve as Neenjas Electric’s key expansion hub for advanced EV technology and renewable energy storage solutions. Under the project, the company plans large-scale manufacturing of onboard EV chargers and solar power banks, addressing a key gap in the domestic supply chain for high-capacity power electronics.

The Letter of Intent was formally handed over by YEIDA Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh to Neenjas Electric Managing Director Vineet Gupta, in the presence of YEIDA Additional Chief Executive Officer Shailendra Bhatia and senior company officials.

At the 20,000 square metre site, Neenjas Electric will develop onboard chargers designed for Indian operating conditions and advanced solar power bank systems aligned with the country’s green energy policy. The facility will focus on high IP-rated onboard chargers for two-wheelers, three-wheelers and light commercial vehicles, alongside next-generation solar energy storage solutions.

Located close to the upcoming Noida International Airport, Sector 8D sits within a rapidly developing EV manufacturing cluster, offering strong logistics and connectivity advantages. The project is expected to generate local employment and reinforce Greater Noida’s emergence as a manufacturing hub for green technologies.

Neenjas Electric plans to invest around Rs 1.69 billion in the project. YEIDA said the development aligns with its broader strategy to position the Yamuna Expressway region as a major destination for electric vehicle and clean technology industries.
