Karnataka Bank Enables Khajane-2 Payments via Internet Banking

Karnataka Bank has enabled the payment of the Government of Karnataka’s Khajane-2 electronic receipts through its internet banking platform, strengthening its digital services portfolio and improving access to government payment facilities for customers.

The bank has received the required authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India along with approval from the Department of Treasuries, Government of Karnataka, to collect state government revenue receipts through the Khajane-2 Integrated Financial Management System. With this development, Karnataka Bank customers can pay various state government taxes and fees online using the bank’s internet banking services.

Following successful technical integration with the RBI’s e-Kuber system and the Khajane-2 platform, customers can now make seamless payments to multiple state government departments. The facility operates under the Government of Karnataka’s Khajane-2 Integrated Financial System, enabling secure and real-time processing of transactions.

Commenting on the launch, Raghavendra S Bhat, managing director and chief executive officer of Karnataka Bank, said the introduction of Khajane-2 e-Receipt services marked an important milestone in the bank’s digital transformation journey. He noted that the initiative is designed to provide a secure, paperless and real-time receipt system that enhances transparency, accountability and efficiency in government transactions.

The new service is expected to simplify receipt management, reduce manual processes and improve convenience for citizens, while also strengthening Karnataka’s digital payment ecosystem. Karnataka Bank reiterated its commitment to supporting the state government in advancing transparent, technology-driven and citizen-centric public service delivery.
