Dynamatic Delivers First Complete Airbus A220 Door Shipset

The ship-set includes main passenger doors, service doors, cargo doors and over-wing emergency exit doors, all manufactured at Dynamatic’s facility in Bengaluru. The achievement highlights India’s growing capability in complex aerostructure manufacturing and its emergence as a reliable supplier to global aircraft programmes.

The handover ceremony was held at Dynamatic’s Bengaluru facility and was attended by senior representatives from the Government of India and Airbus, including officials from Airbus India and South Asia. The delivery was completed ahead of schedule, underscoring the maturity of India’s aerospace production capabilities.

Speaking at the event, India’s civil aviation secretary described the occasion as a proud moment for Dynamatic, Airbus and the country’s aerospace sector, noting that the achievement reflected a product that is made in India for the world. He congratulated both teams for delivering a high-technology aerostructure programme within record timelines.

Dynamatic’s management said the Airbus A220 represents one of the most advanced commercial aircraft programmes globally, and that the successful industrialisation of all door variants in India demonstrates the strength of collaboration between Airbus, Dynamatic and domestic partner suppliers. The programme has achieved more than 99 per cent indigenous value addition, reflecting strong local capabilities and coordinated execution.

The company added that the delivery firmly positions India as a critical hub in Airbus’s global supply chain. By integrating a wide network of Indian aerospace companies, the programme is contributing to job creation, advanced manufacturing skills and the establishment of what Dynamatic described as the largest aerospace export programme in the country’s history.

The milestone is expected to further enhance India’s standing as a preferred destination for high-value aerospace manufacturing and reinforce its long-term ambitions in civil aviation exports.
