Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 Announced In Delhi

Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, a global conference-cum-exhibition for the power and electricity sector, will be held from 19 to 22 March 2026 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. The announcement was made by Shri Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, who also unveiled the Summit brochure and teaser film.

Themed “Electrifying Growth. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally”, the four-day Summit aims to showcase India’s leadership in the global energy transition while addressing emerging challenges and opportunities across the electricity value chain. It will bring together stakeholders from government, industry, academia and civil society to deliberate on sustainable electricity systems, foster international partnerships and strengthen global cooperation.

The event will feature more than 50 high-level conference sessions, expert-led panel discussions, thematic pavilions and technology showcases spanning power generation, transmission, distribution, storage and smart energy solutions. Organisers expect participation from over 500 exhibitors, upwards of 25,000 attendees, around 1,000 delegates and approximately 300 speakers from India and across the world.

Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 is positioned as a global platform for policymakers, chief executives, investors, regulators, innovators, suppliers and solution providers to engage in dialogue that will shape progress across the electricity ecosystem—from generation and transmission to storage and intelligent consumption.

A key highlight will be the dedicated ‘Buyer-Seller Meet’, designed to accelerate partnerships and unlock fresh commercial opportunities across the international power supply chain. The Summit is also expected to help mobilise investments and drive cross-border collaboration to fast-track clean electricity deployment.

The exhibition will provide companies and innovators across the electricity sector an opportunity to showcase advanced technologies and solutions, including those in renewable power, battery storage, smart grids, energy efficiency and next-generation infrastructure.

Speaking at the launch, Shri Manohar Lal said the Summit reflects India’s determination to lead the transformation of global electricity systems. Quoting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he noted that India is moving into an era of energy abundance, shifting from a focus on shortages to managing surplus, ensuring resilience and delivering universal excellence.

He added that the Summit would serve not only as a showcase of achievements but also as a launchpad for future collaboration by bringing technology providers, infrastructure developers and decision-makers together on a single platform to build a sustainable and resilient electricity future.

The Minister commended the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Power, its CPSEs, supporting ministries, states and industry bodies for advancing India’s electricity vision and formally initiating preparations for the Summit.

Senior officials from key ministries, regulatory bodies, embassies, state representatives and leading industry associations attended the announcement event, while representatives from GENCOS, TRANSCOS and DISCOMS participated virtually.
