Scindia Reviews India Post Q3 Performance, Sets Growth Push
Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya M. Scindia recently chaired a high-level Q3 Business Review meeting of the Department of Posts in New Delhi to assess performance and accelerate India Post’s transformation into a logistics-driven organisation. India Post has set a revenue target of Rs 175.46 billion for FY 2025–26 and has already achieved Rs 101.55 billion in the first three quarters, reflecting an 8.2 per cent year-on-year growth.
While overall performance trends were positive, the Minister flagged underperformance in core verticals such as Parcels, Mail and International Mail, stressing that future growth depends on strengthening these segments. Rajasthan emerged as the best-performing circle in Q3, while Citizen Centric Services recorded strong growth across Delhi, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Strategic initiatives highlighted during the review included expanded partnerships with e-commerce platforms, enhanced government-to-government services and deeper financial inclusion tie-ups.
Reiterating the goal of making India Post a profit centre within the next four to five years, the Minister called for peer learning, accountability and balanced performance across circles, expressing confidence that a strong Q4 would help the organisation move closer to its FY 2025–26 revenue target.
