Tata Power Arm Crosses 10 GW EPC Milestone

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has achieved a major milestone by executing 10 gigawatts of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) renewable energy projects to date, reinforcing its position in India’s clean energy infrastructure sector.

According to the company, the executed portfolio comprises 4.2 gigawatts of in-house projects and 5.8 gigawatts of third-party projects. Of the total 10 gigawatts commissioned so far, 9.7 gigawatts are solar projects and 290 megawatts are wind projects.

In the first nine months of FY26, TPREL commissioned 1.88 gigawatts of EPC renewable energy capacity, representing a 33 per cent increase compared with 1.4 gigawatts commissioned during the same period in FY25. Of this capacity, 1,329 megawatts of solar projects were developed for third-party clients, while 546 megawatts were executed in-house, including 187 megawatts of wind and 359 megawatts of solar projects.

These projects were delivered across multiple locations in five states, often under challenging soil and climatic conditions. In the third quarter of FY26, TPREL completed 941 megawatts of renewable energy projects, marking its highest-ever quarterly addition and a 139 per cent increase over the 393 megawatts installed in Q3FY25.

The company said that major projects commissioned during the quarter included those for NHPC, NLC and SJVNL, along with a 187-megawatt wind project in Karur, Tamil Nadu. TPREL’s total utility-scale operational capacity now stands at 6.0 gigawatts, comprising 4.8 gigawatts of solar and 1.2 gigawatts of wind capacity.

Looking ahead, TPREL plans to commission an additional 0.75 gigawatts of renewable capacity during FY26, underscoring its continued focus on scaling up clean energy infrastructure in India.
