Ola Electric Starts Deliveries of Residential BESS Ola Shakti

Ola Electric has recently commenced deliveries of Ola Shakti 9.1kWh, India’s first residential battery energy storage system (BESS) powered by 4680 Bharat cells. Deliveries of the 6kW/9.1kWh configuration have started in Bengaluru and will be expanded across India in the coming months.
The company has also secured Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification for the 3kW/5.2kWh configuration, following BIS approval for the 6kW/9.1kWh variant received on 15 January 2026. Ola Shakti is designed to enhance how households store and consume energy, offering automotive-grade safety, high efficiency, and zero running and maintenance costs.
Positioned as a modern alternative to conventional lead-acid inverters and diesel generators, Ola Shakti provides reliable backup power for homes and critical applications. The system features an instant 0 ms changeover time, operates across a wide input voltage range of 170V–270V to protect appliances from voltage fluctuations, and uses spill-proof IP67-rated batteries tested for dust, water, and monsoon conditions.
